• Periungual wart, a cauliflower-like cluster of warts that occurs around the nails.

• Plantar wart (verruca, Verruca plantaris), a hard sometimes painful lump, often with multiple black specks in the center; usually only found on pressure points on the soles of the feet;

The Importance Of Knowing Which Wart

Knowing which type of wart you have is very important because you will know if you need to see a doctor right away. If you only have the common wart, then by all means use Watrol or Watrin.

In general, warts are nothing to be worried because in most cases an HPV infection goes away after some time, from a few months to one year, and the warts do shed after that.
